Obituary of Jeanne J. Pedersen

Jeanne J. Pedersen, age 65, of Morris, IL, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, surrounded by family after a battle with cancer. Jeanne was born on September 10, 1955, in Shelbyville, IL to Floyd and Mary (Bixby) Hardwick. She married Tommy Pedersen on June 2, 1973. Jeanne had a keen eye for interior design, landscaping, and floral arrangements. She had an adventurous spirit in the kitchen, much to the delight of her family and friends. Jeanne was a faithful and encouraging example to all who knew her. Her kindness and loving care will be missed and remembered by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mary Hardwick.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Pedersen; children, Brad (Becky) Pedersen and Michael Pedersen; grandchildren, Sydney, Sophia, and Ethan; siblings, David (Brenda) Hardwick, Don (Joanne) Hardwick, Walter (Joni) Hardwick, Roger (Wendy) Hardwick, and Susan (Brad) Fryburger; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Jeanne will be held at Knights of Columbus, 401 W. Main Street, Ottawa, IL at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2021. The visitation will start at 10:00 am, until the time of services. The K of C venue is requiring the use of masks.
