Obituary of Susanne Flowers
Susanne Flowers
Age 56, of Arlington Heights, IL, passed away peacefully with her husband, John by her side April 21, 2021 in Glenview. She was born August 5, 1964 in Joliet.
She grew up on Stryker Avenue, the same street as many of her beloved family members. Quality family time was the greatest gift in her life. Susanne attended Rockdale Elementary School Class of 1978. She graduated from Joliet West High School Class of 1982 and Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI Class of 1987.
She was like a mother to many, and she was proud to support her own children in their endeavors. Susanne was a comforting and guiding presence in every life that crossed her path.
She was a spiritual woman, strong willed and steadfast in her faith and beliefs. She cared immensely and felt deeply for others. To her family, she was an earthly guardian angel. In Susanne’s honor, let us always remember to have the courage to love and choose kindness above all else.
She is survived by her husband, John Flowers; her children, John Paul and Alyssa Flowers; her mother, Elisa C. Nino; her siblings, Linda Barbic, Laurie Nino-Schrock and Paul (Brooke) Nino; dear cousin, Rhonda (Ted) Sanders-Reese. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive.
Preceded in death by her father, Alcario Nino; her grandparents, Manuel & Santos Cavazos; mother in-law, Mary Lou Flowers; and brother in-law, Mike Barbic.
