Trinidad Sanchez
Age 74, of Aurora, IL and formerly Joliet, IL passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, after a courageous battle against Leukemia.
She was born June 1, 1947, in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of the late Guadalupe Vilchis Medrano.
Trinidad and her husband Rafael were married for over 43 years. They migrated to the United States in the early 1980’s and settled in the Joliet area where they raised their family. She filled their home with life, music, and love. She dedicated her life to her children and husband. She taught her family the value of a strong work ethic and that it is equally important to respect and to be respected. She also taught her family to simply enjoy life and to never take for granted those brief moments they had together on this Earth. She gave her family many life lessons and many beautiful memories that they will forever cherish. Trinidad was the backbone of her family, they will miss her smile, her laughter, and her unique way of being herself.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is also survived by her sons, Rafael Jr (Jazmin) and Cesar (Vanessa); daughter, Elizabeth (Hector) Lopez; grandchildren, Isabela and Dalia; Aiza and Leila; Cloey and Camila. Trinidad will also be missed by her siblings and their families in Mexico.
She retired from St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet after many years of faithful care in environmental services.
Her hobbies included travel, gardening, dancing, and listening to her favorite music, however, her favorite moments were spent with her granddaughters and all of her family.
Visitation for Trinidad will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet on Saturday, June 12, 2021, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Religious Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. during the visitation and can also be viewed via a livestream by clicking on the link at 7:00 p.m. https://youtu.be/aBH5ljAw4ss. Facemasks will be required at the funeral home. As it was Trinidad’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded.
