Obituary of Anthony Joseph Christofaro, Jr.
Anthony Joseph Christofaro, Jr., age 65, of Willowbrook, IL and formerly River Forest, IL passed away Saturday evening July 3, 2021. He was born in Chicago June 14, 1956 to the late Norma (nee Bondioli) and Anthony Christofaro. Anthony was raised in River Forest, IL attending St. Luke’s Catholic Grade School and graduating with the class of 1974 from Fenwick High School. He then went on to obtain a bachelor degree from Elmhurst College.
He married Theresa Ardaugh on March 15, 1997 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet, IL.
In addition to his beloved wife of 24 years, he is also survived by his daughter, Maureen Christofaro and son, Mark Christofaro; sister, Eileen (Robert) Felicelli and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Anthony was the President of Cee Bee on Caton Farm Road, an Industrial Real Estate Company started by he and his father in 1980. He was also an electrical contractor and proficient in other trades.
A lifelong Cubs fan and avid poker player, AJ played in a poker club weekly and was selected to play in a championship tournament in Las Vegas a few years back. His most favorite moments, however, were spent being with his family and coaching his kids teams when they were younger.
The Christofaro family will always be grateful to the physicians and employees of Silver Cross Hospital for their kindness and great care shown Anthony.
Visitation for Mr. Christofaro will be Friday July 9, 2021 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Funeral services will take place Saturday morning July 10, 2021 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7600 W. Lake Street in River Forest where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
