Elaine B. Scholtes

Elaine B. Scholtes, age 90, of Mt. Juliet, TN, formerly of Joliet, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at AHC Senior Living in Mt. Juliet, TN.   She was born on March 6, 1931 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of the late Cecil and Genevieve Smith. 

Elaine grew up in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Township High School.  She married Raymond L. Scholtes on October 9, 1948.

Elaine was the loving mother of Kenneth R. (Sharon) Scholtes of Centre, AL, Raymond J. (Kathi) Scholtes of Kankakee, IL, Cindy M. (Jim) Feeney of Lebanon, Tennessee and Joy E. Harrelson of Centre, AL; devoted grandmother of five; proud great-grandfather of eleven; sister-in-law of Maj. Gen. Richard (Pam) Scholtes, U.S. Army, Retired, of South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 70 years, Raymond L. Scholtes (2018) and her parents.       

Private funeral services for Elaine B. Scholtes were held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to a charity of your choice.
