Robert A. Shupinka
Robert A. Shupinka, passed away peacefully, at the age of 89, on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center, with his wife by his side. Robert was born on June 14, 1932, the son of the late John and Jennie Shupinka. He grew up in Homestead, PA. Robert is a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force. He attended Tri State College in Angola, IN, where he met the love of his life, Barbara.
Robert enjoyed woodworking and spending time with those he loved the most. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara M. (nee Rondot) Shupinka; his children, Lesa (Ron) Ruth, Susan (Rodney) Pacetti, Christopher Shupinka, and Jennifer Shupinka; and his two grandchildren, John Walters and Kyle Leet.
He is preceded by his son, Paul Joseph Shupinka; his parents; one brother; and his dear friends, Edward Bertagnoli, Tom Shroba, Ernie Oder, and Jim Stangle.
As it was Robert’s request, cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will take place at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors held under the auspices of the United States Air Force and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.
