Obituary of Fred H. Huber, III
Fred H. Huber III of Reddick, IL departed this life on Friday, August 27, 2021 at age 74. He was born on January 12, 1947 in Hinsdale, IL to the late Rachael and Fred Huber, Jr. Fred was raised in Lombard and was a graduate of Glenbard East High School with the class of 1965. A U.S. Army Veteran who served during Vietnam, Fred was honorably discharged in December of 1968.
He is the beloved husband of 49 years to Louise J. (Neefe) Huber; loving father of Dawn Huber and Fred (Colleen) Huber IV; proud “Papa” of Amber, Richard and Parker; brother of Annette (Ken) Enger and fond uncle of several nieces and a nephew.
Fred enjoyed a 40 plus year career as an Electrician and was a longtime member of Local 701 IBEW, Lisle. He was a proud member of the CVMA and he was a true patriot who served his Country.
Visitation for Fred will be Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 4-9 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Social distancing and facemasks will be observed. All friends and relatives are invited to gather Thursday morning September 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home to join the procession to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL where Military honors and Interment services will begin at 12:30 p.m.
