Obituary of George E. Rada

George E. Rada, age 85, of Joliet, IL passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Amita Health St. Joseph, Joliet, IL.  He was born August 24, 1936 to the late Andrew and Lucy Rada.

George grew up and spent his entire life in Joliet.  He fully enjoyed retirement and watching westerns on T.V.   He was an avid outdoorsman, who appreciated nature, camping, and going to the river to fish.

Most importantly, George loved being with his family.  He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was always worrying about and caring for them.

Survived by his beloved daughters, Rae (Tim) Lancaster, Barb (Jose Villanueva) Del Rio, and Becky (Orlando Nelson) Rada;  loving grandchildren, Samantha and Luke Lancaster, Vanessa Rosiles and Josh Del Rio, Armani and Orlando Nelson, Jr.; three adoring great-grandchildren; and his sister, Sue Rada.  Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends also survive.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

As it was his wish, cremation rites have been accorded.  His family will be having a private celebration of life in the future, where they will have a toast in his honor at the river.
