Obituary of Martin Gregorich
Martin F. Gregorich
Age 90. At rest Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Provena Villa Franciscan. Born in Joliet, he was a lifelong resident. Graduate of St. Joseph Grade School and Lockport Central High School. A WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. Former Will County Deputy Clerk and Supervisor of the Tax Department for 30 years. He was organizer, Charter Member and First President of the Will County Employees Union Local #1028 (AFL-CIO). Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #1080. He was an accomplished bicyclist, biking until the age of 86.
Surviving are his loving daughter, Michelle (Steven) Peterson of Joliet; one granddaughter, Kathy Gregorich or Marseilles, IL; two great-granddaughters, Marie Elizabeth and Michele Katherine; his sister, Mildred (Bill) Petersen of Crest Hill; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marie (nee Terlep) Gregorich; his son, Martin F. Gregorich III; parents, Martin F. and Justine (nee Brodich) Gregorich.
Funeral Services for Martin F. Gregorich will be Friday, August 8, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at:
