The shock has not gone away and honestly, I don't think it ever will. I look at our kids and all I can see is YOU. I talk to our children and all I can hear is YOU. I feel a warmth on me and know it is YOU. Remember, my mom used to tell us, and we believed this wholeheartedly, that our home had angels among us and now more than ever, we feel YOU.

I know you will watch over your children as they are your heart and soul; and, I know you will guide me through this thing they call parenting because you were the best father I could have ever asked for, Chris. I made sure YOU knew that every single day.

You are at peace and even though our family link was temporarily broken, we will be together as a family once again...I love you!

I only knew him for a short time, as our boys played for the Joliet Ravens together but, he was always very friendly and very kind. My boys, Devin & Aidin Melgoza and I are very sorry for the family's loss.
