Obituary of Sadie N. Fisher
Sadie Nicole Fisher, age 27, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 25th, 2021 after a long battle with addiction.
She is survived by her parents, Christine (Jeff Dement) Kappel and John Fisher; her brother, Garrett Kappel; her beautiful children, Ryder, Remi, and Rayah; grandmother, Kathy Gebhardt; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sadie is preceded in death by Mary Edge, great grandmother, and Terry Gebhardt, grandfather.
Sadie never wanted to become an addict. This was never something she set out to do. Before addiction took over her life, she loved dancing and music, she loved horses and taking care of them. She loved her children and wanted to be a good mother to them. Addiction took that all away from her. It consumed her and ceased to let go. She started to slip away and no matter what attempts were made to help her, addiction would be right there to take over, time and time again. I decided to write about her addiction because it is real and can happen to anyone. If this can help just one person, Sadie would be so happy. Sadie had a huge heart and would help anyone if she could. I feel we have been mourning the loss of her for years now. It doesn’t make this pain any easier. Our families have been ripped apart by this loss. She would always tell me how she wanted to be better and live a simple life with her children and to have her own garden to take care of. I choose to remember the strong, feisty, beautiful, loyal, caring woman that would light up the room with her smile and goofy laugh. Addiction took her life, it will not, however, be able to take away her beautiful soul. I hope you have the biggest and most beautiful garden surrounding you now. Rest in peace, sweet angel.
Services for Sadie took place privately.
Memorials can be made in her name to benefit her children’s education.
