Obituary of Peggy D. Snodgrass
Age 76, of Crest Hill, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born in Bellevue, IL, the daughter of the late Leo and Helen (Bopp) Doubet. She resided in Channahon for 40 years, living in Crest Hill since 2005. She was a graduate of Limestone High School in Bartonville, IL.
Peggy was a floral designer for The Arrangement Florist in Channahon, retiring after 20 years of service. Following retirement, Peggy utilized her floral designing talent for Joliet First Assembly of God Church where she was a member since 1982. She was a member of The Seasoned Sisters, Prayer Shawl Ministries, M.O.P.S. and the 50’s plus club.
Peggy used her crafting skills to minister to many people in the form of handmade cards, crafts, floral arrangements, knitting and baking. She volunteered for the Grapevine Mission. Peggy had a deep and abiding love for God and shared it with smiles and hugs for everyone she met.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Laurie (Karl) Braham of Streator, IL and Ann (Chad) Miller of Ft. Worth, TX; three grandchildren, Amber, Christopher and Corey (Jackie Reynolds); four great-grandchildren, including, Bryce Bryner, who was very dear to her heart; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive.
She was preceded by her loving husband of 51 years, Laurel Dean Snodgrass (2015); her great-granddaughter, Samara Braham; her brother, Phillip Doubet; and her sister, Sharon Pfeifer.
Visitation for Peggy D. Snodgrass will be Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Larry Griswold will be officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in accordance with the wishes of the family would be appreciated.
