Obituary of Olive Jean Parker
Olive Jean Parker, 78, of Morris, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at Lightways in Joliet, with her loving family by her side. Born December 20, 1942, in Morris, IL, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Addie (Wilkinson) Welsh. Jean attended school at LaSalle Peru and graduated from Mazon High School in 1960. On September 29, 1962, she married Dick Parker of Mazon. They have spent the last 59 years together. Jean enjoyed working for Dr. Rest as an Optometrist Assistant for many years and then working for Chiropractor, Dr. Mark Conrod.
Family was extremely important to Jean and her love for her grandchildren was everything. Early on she enjoyed skydiving and numerous Boundary Water family canoe trips. Jean loved her visits from her special friend, Ron Johnson, cheering on the White Sox and reading a good book
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Dana Parker (Fiancé Wayne Bacigalupo) of Channahon and Addie (Aaron) McNabb of Seneca; four grandchildren, Camryn Mullen, Isabella Bacigalupo, Brody, and Audry McNabb; four siblings, her identical twin sister, June Enger of Dwight, David and Patricia Welsh of Minooka, Rance Welsh of Morris, and Christine White of Gardner; nieces and nephews, Jason Enger of Morris, Chad and Stacey White of Coal City, Colleen White of Arizona, Amber and Bob Miskell of Morris, Ryan and Tiffany Welsh of Morris, Katie and Danny Peterson of Morris, Deidre and Jason Rhodes of Gardner, Andrea Welsh of Coal City and Amanda and Isen Veljic of Hong Kong.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her daughter, Lissa June Parker, and her nephew, Eric White.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until a Celebration of Life at 12:00 Noon at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris. Interment will follow at Sample Cemetery in Morris.
