Obituary of Danny L. Bolyn, Sr.

Danny L. Bolyn, Sr., age 62, of Minooka, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Silver Cross Hospital.  He was born in Detroit, MI.  He was raised in Chicago and was a long-time resident of the Joliet area, residing in Minooka, the past five years.  Danny was a graduate of Joliet Central High School, Class of 1977.  He enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time with his family. 

 

Danny is survived by his four sons, Jonathon, of Coal City, Andrew of Braidwood, Danny Jr. (Cheri) of Braidwood, and Liam Bolyn of Evergreen Park; five grandchildren, Blake, Zoe-Jane, Aiden, Austin, and Asher Bolyn; his mother, Leva Nell Clements of Waynesboro, TN; and his brothers, James (Brenda) of Waynesboro, TN; Michael of Elwood, and Raymond (Laura ) Bolyn of Joliet.   Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. 

 

He is preceded by his father, William Bolyn; three brothers, Christopher, Stephen, and Joseph Bolyn; sisters-in-law, Karen and Vicki Bolyn.

 

Visitation for Danny L. Bolyn, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Fred C Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.  As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
