Obituary of Robert D. Sanders

Age 56 of Joliet passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at his late residence following a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born and raised in Rockdale, living in Joliet since 1988.  Bob was a proud Veteran of the United States Army.  He married Renee Black in 1990.  Bob was an avid train enthusiast, his collection spanned all throughout his home.

Surviving is his loving wife, Renee Sanders of Joliet; his parents, Ralph Sanders of Marseilles, IL, and June (Adams) Sanders of Deer Lodge, TN.

He is preceded by his brother, Kenneth Ray Sanders.

Funeral Services for Robert D. Sanders will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL at 2:30 p.m. with military honors conducted by the U.S. Army.
