CeCe, Chrissy and Families-
My deepest sympathies to you all- Auntie Grace sure loved you girls and your families! .
Growing up I very 'naturally' referred to Auntie Grace as my 'favorite' Auntie! I have so many fond memories of her. From when I was pretty little, I can remember her telling me how happy she was that we shared the same name. Even when too young to fully understand what it means to be named after someone, I knew I liked hearing her tell me this.
One of my favorite memories is of a time when as a young teen, I went to her with the idea of throwing a surprise Anniversary party for my parents. I had no clue what that entailed but it didn't matter. Without hesitation, she promptly responded 'of course!' when I asked her if she would help me. Auntie Grace called me off at school, picked me up from the bus stop and took me shopping the entire day to get all that was needed for the party and then back to her home to prepare everything. And now that I look back on this, I am certain I did not have the means to pay for everything either, but that didn't matter, she took loving care of the details I had in mind. I will never forget that day with her and somehow I am even more grateful to her today than I was back then. Not only for her help but for that special day with my Aunt.
Auntie Grace will always hold a very special place in my heart. She will be missed deeply and remembered always.
Peace be with you Auntie Grace- I too am happy to share the same name.
Love and Prayers,
Cousin Gracie & Loren & Family
