I remember when we rediscovered you and Linda in Las Vegas after a time of being apart. It was like the years just melted away and we picked up where we left off. Tom, you were like a brother to us – kind and loving on one hand and then sarcastic as all hell.
You made me laugh with your one-liners, and every time we were together was an adventure. We played endless games of Skip-Bo and Greed, only taking a break to eat and pee. Your cooking was out of this world good. We ate, we laughed, argued over the games, and ate again. We ragged mercilessly on Linda and Joe when we played, but somehow they managed to beat us anyway. We were always treated as family by you and the kids and loved you for it.
You were the most wonderful father to Diane, Jeanine, Michelle, and Tommy, and to your two beautiful granddaughters. You were the best husband to my oldest and dearest friend Linda.
I miss hearing you laugh, seeing you frown when I made a dumb move in our games, and then wonderfully insult me.
Our brother, we will miss you forever. I know you are in heaven now with your friends and family and adored pets who have passed. Please give them hugs from us. You will always be in our hearts, just as you will always be in the hearts and minds of the beautiful family that you raised. Watch over them and protect them and please watch over us as well.
Semper Fi.
We love you.

Tom, I am so glad that you, Linda and Tommy lived in Las Vegas from 2000-2004. I am so glad that Maxx and Reagan got that time to know you and spend time with you. I will always remember your infectious laugh! It always made me laugh. I loved the various games that we all played and just chatting with you. .I know Linda, Diane, Jeanine, Michelle, Tommy and your 2 beautiful granddaughters are going to miss you. I will miss you too. I know that one day I will see you again! Thank you for your service to our wonderful country and the great citizens of Chicago. I love you and will miss you so. Love, your California sister-in-law, Marnell

To a true friend. Don and are so grateful to have met you and became part of our life and memories. Thank you for your lifetime of service, but mostly thank you for the wonderful legacy that is your family and you. Every time I see a Rott I will think of you and what a great doggie daddy you were. I will miss kicking your butt playing dice and one of the best part of Vegas was meeting you, Linda and your family. Your honesty and strength of character is why we called you friend. As difficult as today is, we are so appreciative of the time and memories we did have. Hope you are up there enjoying some video poker, good sausage pizza, visiting loved ones and working on getting this country a little more on the red side. Godspeed.

Farewell my incredible and priceless brother-in-law and hero.
Words can't express how much I will miss you brother. The Swierkosz and Blason Families will always keep you in our hearts, spirits, thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for being the best husband to my sister, Linda; a most wonderful father to such beautiful children; the greatest son-in-law to my parents, Violet & Leo (They loved you so much!); and an awesome brother-in-law to me, Glenn, Cheryl and Chuck.
I will miss your amusing one liners that made me laugh hysterically. You had a quick wit and knew how to play verbal volleyball.
I will also miss listening to your infectious laugh. I will miss watching comedies and ragging on democrats with you. I hope that you enjoyed all of my humorous emails and laughed out loud with my sister. I will miss discussing politics with a fellow Trumpeteer. Cheers my conservative comrade!
Thank you for welcoming me into your Family. You always made me feel so invited, and I loved how genuine you were with me. You expressed your love through humor and food. Your cooking was delicious. Love the sausage!!! Thank you for always taking time to play games and going on trips with us. Thank you for being so respectful, loving and caring to my Mom (Violet), Dad (Leo), Gramps (Chet) and Grams (Hilma) (They were so proud of you. Gramps didn't trust and like many people, but I know that he loved you.).
Thank you for your service to our great country, and for your service to the City of Chicago. I was never so proud to be your brother-in-law. Thanks for sharing so many funny stories on the force with me. I most certainly shared them with my clients out here in the Euro-Socialist Southwest Coast of California. Moreover, thank you for always sharing your invaluable common sense, street smarts, and insight with me.
Tom, I know that you are now in Heaven enjoying paradise with so many Friends, Pets and Family of the past. Please give them and yourself Heavenly hugs & kisses from the Swierkosz and Blason Families. I also know that you will be closer to your Family more than ever, watching and protecting them as their Guardian Angel. I hope that they will take valuable time to slow down, meditate, pray and feel the love and aegis of your spiritual presence.
Thank you for being a loving Friend & Brother.
Love
Paul
