I am so very lucky to have known Jack. He was incredibly intelligent and always had wise words to share. I always enjoyed seeing Jack and Joan at Sacred Heart. That is a special church with truly wonderful parishioners. Joan Rogers and I became friends. When I attended WRDR Christmas parties, Joan was always worried that I was not eating enough!
Rest in peace, Jack. Thank you for all of the wonderful contributions you made to our community.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I got to know Jack through Rotary. His gentle manner and strong integrity was obvious. I was especially touched by his willingness to support me at a time when I ethically couldn’t explain a difficult decision. Jack gave me courage…I will always be grateful. He was a mentor…an example of care and understanding.

One of my favorite memories of Jack was his innate ability to see the best in people and rationalize difficult situations.
He had such a kind heart and great sense of humor, which served him well since he knew just about everyone in Joliet.
The love he showed for his family, profession, and the community was admirable. He truly made the world a better place.
We will miss him dearly!

Words are sorry evidence for expressing the wonder that was Jack. Since 1986 when I met him when my firm was located 1 floor above his, he was friendly and helpful. From then on until the Joliet Country Club closed, my wife and I thought we were special because he and Joan always had a kind word and time to chat. It was well on before we realized we were not special . He had time for every person he came across and could remember every name. He always started to leave events or restaurants before me, citing the need for sleep or time with family. Yet, when I would start to leave later, he had not yet reached the door. Everyone wanted a part of Jack, and he always seemed to want to give it away. The world was truly a better place for having Jack in it. I, and many others, am surely better for Jack allowing me into his world.
