"Jay" was always such a friendly welcoming individual. He was so kind to my mother and I while she lived at The Timbers. My condolences to his family. He was one of the residents, i will always remember.

Jay was a great guy. We have many memories of him at the river with Vera and my Uncle John and Aunt Shirley. We had an opportunity to visit and dine with them in Florida with Dad and Lil. To this day, we still like to make ribs the "Jay way". Condolences to the family. He lived a good long life.

I feel like I am a small part of the Fiday family. Ann was my mother's best friend back in the 1950's and she was also my Confirmation Godmother. I played at their farm with my friend Dianne (Lillian's daughter) and we are still friends today--we stop for a visit in Fidayview each year when we return to Joliet/Plainfield. Though I do not remember all the family members, I do remember when the Sunnyland Tavern was started---my folks had owned Walnut Grove Tavern before the state took that land for the proposed I-55 highway. So, sad feelings are coming up for me with so many memories of all the Fiday family from my youth. May Jay eternally rest in the peace, love, and joy of the Lord for a life well-lived! Prayers for all this family as they deal with this grievous loss. God bless all of you!

It was always such a joy to be around Uncle Jay! He was extremely kind, always encouraging and very generous with his contagious sense of humor! Uncle Jay dearly loved his entire family and he always welcomed everyone so warmly! We are so very grateful to have known Jay and we will miss his wonderful, loving kindness. We send our love and condolences to his family.
