Brian C. Borvansky
Brian C. Borvansky, passed away peacefully at the age of 56, on Monday, April 18, 2022, at his home in Joliet, surrounded by the love of his family. Brian was born in Berwyn, IL, on October 4, 1965, the son of Charles and Jeanette (nee Matz) Borvansky. He was a graduate of Morton West High School and attended Joliet Junior College. Brian was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, where he served 6 years as a weapons expert on the USS Theodore Roosevelt.
Brian was a dedicated employee at Diebold Nixdorf Technology Company, working as a Field Manager. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing computer games, spending time honoring his shooting skills, fishing, and assembling war models. He loved his family more than anything, and will be missed by all who loved him.
Brian is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Diane (nee Malcik); his parents, Charles (Nancy) Borvansky and Jeanette Rapinac; step-children, Michael Kutz and Amy Kutz; step-grandchildren, Autumn, Kaitlynn, and Christian Ferguson; sister, Donna Biddle; step-brother, William Zimmerman; step-sister, Natalie Zimmerman; brother-in-law, Robert Malcik; and his aunts, Marcia Meyer and Terry Borvansky. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
He is preceded by his sister, Karen Vondra.
A Memorial Gathering for Brian C. Borvansky will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL. Military Honors will be held under the auspices of the United States Navy at 4:00 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to any animal rescue organization would be appreciated.
