Obituary of Thomas Hammonds

Thomas F. Hammonds Age 81. At rest Thursday May 1, 2008 at his late residence. Born in Benton IL to the late Thomas and Mattie Hammonds, he was a resident of the Crest Hill area for the past 55 years. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in Aurora following 30 years or service. Member of the Pentecostal Church of Wilmington. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Frances (Burlison) Hammonds of Crest Hill; one daughter, Connie Jane Farley of Joliet; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Terry Hammonds of Joliet. Preceded in death by two sons, Gordon Lynn and Thomas Lee Hammonds. Funeral services for Thomas F. Hammonds will be Saturday May 3, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at funeral home chapel. Committal services and internment will take place at the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery, in Benton IL, on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be on SATURDAY at 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. at: FRED C.
