I've known Jerry for the past three years through our Wednesday night bowling league. Always had so much fun bowling against his team and talking to Jerry each week. We're really going to miss him. Deepest condolences to Jerry's family.

Many hearts were touched by this beautiful man. To me Jerry was a dear and very close friend and we shared some really great times! As many of you know Jerry enjoyed yapping, a lot which was one of his best features, however take that to play golf! I can't tell you how many times Jerry's stories continued without hesitation throughout every shot of a couple holes. It didn't bother me considering my game could not be hurt any further so got to be funny until we got matched in a foursome with strangers. On many occasions I would have to nudge him when a gentleman was lining up his tee shot and usually during putting. Of course, Jerry being the gentleman he is, would apologize for next 3 shots!
Jerry also trained me and set me up with my first gun. I had always been interested in shooting but intimidated on how to begin. Jerry made it very easy, SAFE and enjoyable. My heart is very heavy as we had just spoken a couple weeks ago discussing his August visit down to Tennessee to spend time golfing and Jerry was going to go Truck shopping with me to point out what to look for and such. Plan was for him to bring his ATV's as well to enjoy at my new home/property. This is something I will always regret never being able to do with my friend.
Jerry was always willing to help anyone and boy did he love his children and Jenny! In his southern twang he would always say Jenny is such a sweet girl. To translate - Jerry adored Jenny!
I will miss you my friend and will speak to you in my prayers. You can rest now peacefully. You fought like a warrior everyday and all of us are forever grateful for touching our lives during your time in this world. I love you buddy and we will play again.
