Olive M. Harrington
(nee McDonald)
Born August 14,1923 to the late Michael and Loretta (nee Brannick) McDonald. Passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Eagle Crest Assisted Living Center, Onalaska, WI. She was a longtime Channahon resident. Olive was a retired Nurses Assistant. She was employed by Dr. Bussman for several years as well as the Morris Hospital and Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Olive was a faithful and devoted parishioner of St. Ann Church in Channahon and was fond of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Holmen, WI. She enjoyed bingo and dancing.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Harrington of Minooka; one daughter Debra (Jim) Boylan of Onalaska, Wi.; grandchildren, Michael (Bridget) Harrington, Jeffrey (Nicole) Harrington, Brendan Harrington, Meghan, Shannon and Katelin Boylan; five great grandchildren, Keeley, Kiernan, Keegan, Colin and Padraig. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Daniel Harrington (2007); one daughter, Judy Harrington (1984); daughter-in-law, Linda Harrington (2008), one brother, Thomas (Beatrice) McDonald; two sisters, Genevieve (the late Jack) Feeney and Violet McDonald; and her parents.
Funeral Services for Olive M. Harrington will be Monday, December 22, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Ann Catholic Church in Channahon for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Franciscanskemp Hospice of LaCrosse, WI. or the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Minooka. Visitation Sunday, 2 - 6 p.m. at:
