Kevin J. Susner

"Frosty"

Age 37, of Crest Hill, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle against cancer.  Kevin is the son of Janice Kale and Jeffrey Susner, born on February 5, 1985 in Joliet.  He was a graduate of Joliet West High School.  After graduation he continued his education at Joliet Junior College receiving his Associates Degree.  He was employed as a Supervisor for the Transportation and Safety Administration at O'Hare International Airport.

Kevin always enjoyed music, especially Metal. He was also a car enthusiast and was a member of the "Avenger" car club. 

He will be remembered most for living his life and “deal(ing) with it” amidst childhood leukemia, bone marrow transplant, and treatments again later.

He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.

Kevin is survived by his loving parents, Janice Kale and Jeffrey (Cheri) Susner; his sister, Jennifer "Jenn" Susner; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents Mary Ann and Jim Kale, Barb and Bernie Susner, and Jean Grossklaus.

Visitation for Kevin J. Susner will be Friday September 9, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet.  An opportunity to share memories of Kevin will begin at 7 p.m.

Saturday morning, September 10, 2022, all friends and relatives are asked to gather at the funeral home at 10: 30 a.m. to join the procession to Woodlawn Memorial Park where committal prayers and Interment will take place in the Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
