Obituary of Stephen Joseph Clennon

Stephen Joseph "Lark" Clennon

Age 59 of Morris, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at his sister's residence in Minooka. He was born and raised in Minooka, the son of the late Gerald and Janet Clennon on August 9, 1963. Stephen graduated from Minooka High School, the class of 1982. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Stephen worked as a Pipeline laborer for local 75 for many years. He was known and loved by many throughout Minooka and will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his loving children,  son, Lucas Clennon and daughter Brittany Floyd; his three grandchildren, Lucy, Nolan, and Lydia Clennon; his  six siblings, Geraldine (Jason Sr.) Houck, Daniel (Robyn) Clennon, Susanne (Brian) Clodi, Diane Clennon, Kathleen (Joseph) Pershey and Lisa Clennon, all of Minooka; and numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Thomas Clennon.

A special thank you to his sister Dede, who provided so much for Stephen during his illness and to the nurses and staff of Vitas Hospice, for their dedicated and compassionate care.

Visitation for Stephen "Lark" Clennon will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet. Funeral Services will be Friday, September 23, 2022, with visiting time from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure for church at 10:30 a.m., processing from the funeral home to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 303 W Saint Marys St., Minooka, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Minooka.
