Patricia Ann Schieberl, of Minooka, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 71, on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Patricia was born in Chicago on July 22, 1951, to the late Anthony and Marjory (nee Goethel) Leitner. She grew up in Schiller Park and was a graduate of East Lyden High School. Patricia held many jobs throughout her life. She worked in the bakery at Dominck’s, and most recently she might be known for serving cold drinks at Crow’s Nest Tavern and Malnar’s Tap.
Patricia was an active woman. In her younger years she enjoyed ice skating, roller skating, and swimming. Always supportive of her family, Patricia enjoyed volunteering her time as a team mom or was always active cheering her daughters on during their extracurricular events. As a grandma, she was the biggest fan on the sidelines! She loved her family and dogs more than anything and enjoyed spending time with her friends, but especially with her grandkids. Her delicious meals will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of tasting her creations.
Patricia is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Glen Arthur Schieberl; her daughters, Kimberly (Michael) Fisher and Pamela Woods; grandchildren, Joseph (Hannah) Sheppard, Kyle Sheppard, Declan McElroy, Michael Fisher, Kooper Fisher and Emily and Claire Woods; two faithful canine companions Fozzy and Candi; one brother, Anthony Leitner; one sister; brother-in-law, Mark (Denise) Williams; and her aunt, Doris Enders. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
She is preceded by her parents; and a sister.
Visitation for Patricia Ann Schieberl will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. As it was her request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 or to the ASPCA.
