Obituary of Steven A. Spangler

Steven A. Spangler, age 60, of Joliet, IL died tragically in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 26, 2022.  He was born November 30, 1961, in St. Charles, MO to the late Phyllis (Robinson) and Eugene Spangler.  Steve was raised in the Channahon/Minooka area and graduated from Minooka Community High School.

He is survived by his wife Deanna (Morgan) Spangler; sister, Marsha "Lynn" (Bill) Norris; sister-in-law, Diane; two step-children, several stepgrandchildren, and his nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Spangler, and brother, Michael Spangler.

Steve was formerly employed at Buy Rite Furniture in Joliet for several years.  Although like many of us, he had his flaws, but he will be most remembered by his family and friends as a kind-hearted soul who would give you the shirt off his back.  He was also very friendly and outgoing.  It seemed no matter where he went, he always knew someone.  Steve loved fishing with Deanna and being a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
