Obituary of Thomas J. Bukowski, Jr.

Thomas Joseph Bukowski, Jr., age 57, of Joliet, IL and formerly the Back of the Yards neighborhood of Chicago, passed from this life unexpectedly at home, Thursday November 17, 2022.

Tom was born in Chicago July 28, 1965 to the late Frances (Hiller) and Thomas J. Bukowski, Sr.  He was a graduate with the class of 1983 from Gage Park High School.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Bukowski (fiancé Richard Mundinger); son, Nicholas (Ashley) Bukowski; grandson, Jerry Sprayberry; sister, Victoria “Vicki” Morales; two nephews, Jason and Dominic Morales; niece, Teresa (Will) Adams and great niece, Lydia Adams.  Also surviving are his aunt, Ann Bukowski and many cousins.

Tom retired from Central Steel and Wire after serving for many years as a crane operator.

He loved music and movies, but nothing compared to the time he relished spending with his family.

Visitation for Thomas Bukowski, Jr. will be Tuesday November 22, 2022 from 2-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.
