Obituary of Clara Louise Raboin

Clara Louise Raboin, age 104, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 9:10 am.  She was born in Francesville, IN, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (nee Ohlinger) Reese.  Louise was a resident of Danville, IL for 42 years, a resident of Joliet, IL for 51 years, and a resident of the O’Fallon, IL for last 11 years.  She taught in Danville schools for 22 years and Hufford Jr. High and Dirksen Jr. High in Joliet for 14 years.  Louise was a member of St. James Methodist Church of Danville, Retired Teachers Association, AARP, D.A.R. and Channahon Senior Citizens Goldeneers.

Louise is survived by her step-daughter, Deborah Raboin of Trenton, IL; step-granddaughter, Lisa Marie (nee Helphinstine) Burrow; four step-great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Cooper, Hailey and Parker, all of O’Fallon, IL; three step-grandchildren (from stepson William Leonard Crawford), Greg, Lorri and Matt Crawford, all of Danville, IL; sister-in-law, Sylvia (Bruce) Rudigier of Yorkville, IL; and nephew, Michael David Rudigier of Yorkville, IL.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Crawford of Danville; her second husband of 55 years, David E. Raboin of Joliet; her parents, William and Elizabeth (Ohlinger) Reese; stepson, William Leonard Crawford; and niece, Francine Louise Rudigier.
