Obituary of Sandra Marie Jordan
Age 54, of Joliet, IL passed from this life early Wednesday morning, December 28, 2022 at Edward Hospital in Naperville.
She was born in Park Ridge, IL July 19, 1968.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 21 years, Michael “Mike” Jordan; sons, Brandon “Scottie” Smith and Christopher Jordan; her precious granddaughter, Zoie who Sandra truly adored; siblings, Dennis (Beth) Smith, Mike (Lynn) Smith, Tom (Claudia) Smith, Jim Smith, Joe (Kelly) Smith, Pat (Liz) Smith, Jeff (Nancy) Smith, Steve (Donna) Smith, Sue (Mike) Fristrom, Tim (Kristine) Smith and Mark (Debbie) Smith. Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Lillian Jordan; sister-in-law, Stacey Jordan; aunt, Margaret Devaney and a host of nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her cats, Jo-Jo and Nala; Daisy the parakeet and her canine friend, Matilda.
Preceded in death by her parents, Rosemary (Lamich) and Harold Smith; father-in-law, Alphonso Jordan and her dear nephew, Scotty.
Sandra will be remembered fondly by her family for possessing a heart of gold. Generous to a fault, she always put others first. Her devotion to her pets over the years was like no other. Primarily a cat lover, she was especially fond of Zeus who “grew” on her for over ten years before passing in addition to Mimi, Cedric, and Henry the bird, all who received TLC from Sandra over the years.
It makes sense that Sandra came from a large family as she valued everyone in her life, friends and family alike. Her legacy will live on in her son’s whom will continue on through life with the same zest as their mother. Although physically not visible, she’ll always be there.
Visitation for Sandra will be Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 9 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to Catholic Charities.
