May his memory be eternal. I was just thinking of him yesterday, remembering my time being his student worker at JJC in 1979. Many fond memories beinging a student worker and all the people I met.
From JTHS to JJC, from morning coffee to hearing another of his many jokes, from his love of the Joliet area and those of us who lived there to his active support of our interests, Walt was one of the finest people we ever met. God bless him and his family.
Walt was my home room teacher in my Freshman year in high school. I remember him as a kind and gentle man. God Bless him and his family. I too was raised in and near St. Joseph's Church with Msgr Butala and Fr Malavasic
I just reached AZ this evening and opened my phone to this very sad news. I so want to sit down and write my "boss" another letter since he so enjoyed all those he received from me at JuCo back in the day. He has earned his rest but I am sure his honorable dash on earth will be rewarded "up there" and he will soon be entertaining his many friends that preceded him. I am sorry I can't be there to show my respect for this very good man or give you a hug Angela...but I will try to write more soon..a final "inter-office memo". My sincere sympathy to you all. RIP WALT !
