George “Red “ Phillip Cox
George Cox, age 37, passed away suddenly, Monday, January 9, 2023 as the result of an automobile accident. Born in Orlando, FL on May 20, 1985, George grew up in Florida before moving to Morris in 2019. George was someone who lived life to the fullest. He loved spending time with his friends around town, whether it was playing darts, video games, or a game of pool. He loved to travel, spending time over the years in Florida, Texas, Missouri, and Illinois.
George is survived by his beautiful daughter Mira Cox; his mother and step-father, Boni Eberly and Neil McDonald; his father, Dan Cox; and numerous other family members and good friends.
Funeral services for George were held privately. Cremation rites were accorded and George’s ashes were spread in some of the areas he loved to spend time at most. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Morris, IL. Memorials in his name can be made to his family to help with his daughter’s care and future education.
