Obituary of Jacquelyn Hendel

Jacquelyn E. Hendel (nee Breen) Age 72, of Joliet, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Silver Cross Hospital. Born in Joliet, May 14, 1935 to the late Henry and Dorothy Breen, she was a lifetime area resident. A graduate of Wilmington High School. Jackie retired from Prairie Trail Credit Union to be the best full-time grandmother ever. She was formerly employed at Service Merchandise. Beloved wife of 43 years to Henry; loving mother of Richard, Cheryl and Lesa (Bryan) Hendel-Jones. proud and devoted grandmother of Richard Jr.; Kylyn and Alyssa "Catie". Also survived by two brothers, Ronald (Wanda) and LaVerne (Judy) Breen; many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as Shawn Krug who Jackie thought of as a daughter. Preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services for Jacquelyn E. Hendel will be Thursday, May 1, 2008, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of St. Jude where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
