Obituary of Mary F. Studyvin

Mary F. Studyvin, age 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the Lightways Hospice facility in Joliet.  She was born on September 8, 1945, in Waverly, IL to the late Grover Stone and Opal Hale. On November 6, 1966, she married Gerald G. Studyvin, and the two settled in Coal City where they raised their family.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Melinda (Danny) Hovis and Jeri (Henry) Quevedo; her six grandchildren, Gerald T. Studyvin, Danny Hovis, Jr., Kaeli Hovis, Bryce Quevedo, Gavin Quevedo,  and Lyla Quevedo; her great-grandson, Landon Van Winsen; and sister Lois (Ken Dodd) Stone.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald G. Studyvin; and her parents.

As it was Mary’s wish, cremation rites have been accorded, and she will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Braceville Gardner Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C.
