Obituary of Dorothy Hermann

Hermann, Dorothy M. (nee Stevens) Age 85. Peacefully, Monday, August 20, 2012 at her daughter's residence with her family by her side. Born in Joliet, she was a lifelong Joliet, Ottawa and Channahon resident. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Hermann; one grandchild, John Patrick McGraw; parents, Frank and Magdelena Confrey. Survived by one daughter, Karen (late Don) McGraw of Channahon; one son, Jeffrey (Laurel) Hermann of Minooka; four grandsons, Michael McGraw of Chicago, Brent "Curly" (Tammy, nee Zimmerman) McGraw of Joliet; Brock and Chase Hermann; two great-grandchildren, Caylee and Cayden McGraw; special friend, Peggy Georgevitch. Private Graveside funeral services were held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. As it was Dorothy's wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Newsome Rehabilitation Centers, Joliet Area Community Hospice and especially her very special friends, next door neighbors and caregivers, Sue Kuks, Elissa Fody and Wayne Johnston, who helped morning, noon and night.
