Arthur J. Weese
Arthur J. Weese, age 80, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL. Arthur was born on April 26, 1942, the son of the late Arthur J. and Rose M. He is a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, having earned a Rifle Sharpshooter Badge and Good Conduct Medal during his years in service.
Arthur held various construction jobs, but retired as a Bailiff from the Will County Courthouse; a job he thoroughly enjoyed for over 10 years. In his free time, Arthur enjoyed relaxing by a body of water with a fishing rod in his hand, playing cards with his friends, watching old western movies, cheering on the Chicago Cubs, and giving the grandkids a hard time! He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and the love he had for his family.

(nee Vicich) Weese; daughter, Renee (Christopher) Girard; son-in-law, Scott Gambosi; five grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Smith, Tyler Girard, Brett Gambosi, Bradley Gambosi, and Peyton Girard; siblings, Ardis Liccardi, Bernie (Denise) Meyer, Richie Meyer, and Linda (Ronald) Hainline; his great-nephew, Bruce (Georgia) Lane; and his dear childhood friends, Jack and Mary Quirk and Don and Kathy Vetter. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
He is preceded by his daughter, Brenda L. Gambosi; his parents; stepfather, Arthur J. Meyer; and three sisters, Rose Schure, Mary Jane Kovac, and Helen Barto.
