Mary R. Hii
(nee Przenieslo)
Age 51. Suddenly, Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, as the result of an apparent heart attack. Born in Joliet, she was raised in Lockport and had been a resident of Gardner for the past 22 years. A graduate of Lockport Central High School. Formerly employed at Pat's Alterations in Joliet as a seamstress, also as a secretary at the Braidwood Nuclear Plant. Mary was a committee chair and den mother for many years for the Cub Scouts Pack #462 of Gardner. She was a sports enthusiast, and she especially enjoyed the Cubs and the Bears. Her favorite joys were her family and needlepoint.
Preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy M. Przenieslo (1959); her father, Joseph M. Przenieslo (2007); one sister, Judith Gentry; and her father-in-law, Joseph A. Hii.
Survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Joseph P. Hii; two sons, Brandon and Jad Hii all of Gardner; her mother, Shirley Przenieslo; two brothers, Joseph M. (Beckie) and Thomas (Rose) Przenieslo; four sisters, Jacqueline (Ron) Wright, Sandra (Jim) Lauritsen, Sharlene (Al) Thomason and Sharon Ryan; her mother-in-law, Dolores "Dee" Hii; sister-in-law, Janice (Kip) Weller; and special aunt, Shirley Barnhart.
Funeral Services for Mary R. Hii will be Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 11:45 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery.
