Obituary of Donna Hilgert

Donna E. Hilgert (nee Colvin) Age 57. Passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at home with her daughters at her side, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Elmhurst, IL, she was a long time area resident. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Lange Manufacturing in Crest Hill for many years. She was an avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoyed bike riding, walking, and the occasional glass of wine. She was devoted to her grandchildren. Surviving are three daughters, Kelley Hilgert of Joliet, Shauna (Alan) Palmer of Joliet and Manda Hilgert of Crest Hill; three grandchildren, Kameron, Janae and Ayden McKenzie; her mother, Chris B. Colvin of Shorewood; two brothers, Larry (Carol) Colvin of Brookfield and Cary (Diane) Colvin of Joliet; numerous nieces and nephews; and "Da Ex" and friend, Randall T. Hilgert of Stockbridge, GA. Preceded in death by her father, Delbert D. Colvin, Sr.; one brother, Delbert D. Colvin, Jr.; and her best friend since childhood, Joan "Peach" Chierici. The family would like to extend a special thank you to their angels, Geri and John Palmer, and Julie Balsamo. Funeral Services for Donna E. Hilgert will be Friday, October 24, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Inurnment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
