Danny B. Hillman
Age 86. At rest Friday, April 9, 2010 at Rosewood Care Center. Born in Chicago to the late Harry and Edith (nee Ruben) Hillman, he was raised in Milwaukee, WI and was a resident of Joliet since 1955. Retired owner/operator of Midas Auto Service which he opened in 1972. A WWII U.S. Army veteran serving in the European Theater. Member and past President of the Joliet Jewish Congregation. Past President of International Midas Dealers Association. He served on other boards and committees, too numerous to list.
Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Ellen (nee Rubnitz) Hillman; two sons, John and Jim (Deena) Hillman all of Joliet; three grandchildren, Mattilee, Harry and Max Hillman; one brother, Arthur (Minette) Hillman of Bethesda, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Danny B. Hillman will be Monday, April 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Joliet Jewish Congregation, 250 N. Midland Avenue, Joliet. Rabbi Charles Rubovits officiating. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Joliet Jewish Congregation or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Monday morning at the synagogue from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Arrangements by:
