Dick was a fine gentleman, one of the best that I had the pleasure of knowing. He was a genuine, non-judgmental, soft-spoken good man with gentle manners who was slow to anger and easy to please. He was a man of exceptionally high integrity, scrupulous honesty, faultless morals, and simple tastes. I will miss his attendance at the Old Timers Coffee Shop sessions. He was a rare individual and I fear that I will not see his likes again.
