JoAnne was an incredible human being. I became good friends with her over the years. I was able to get to know her through church at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Joliet when I moved back to Joliet from Chicago in 1999-2000. JoAnne was very supportive of my career as an artist. One time she offered to buy me some art supplies in Joliet, before I went to NIU in DeKalb to obtain my double master's degree, MFA, in painting and art history. I was very sad to hear of Joanne's sudden passing from a car accident. She was a very compassionate, caring Christian woman. Rest in peace, Joanne. May your memory be eternal. See you in heaven some day.
