Obituary of Refugio Calvillo
Refugio Calvillo, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Morris Hospital. Refugio was born in Mexico on May 1, 1953, to the late Trinidad and Maria Luisa Calvillo, and immigrated to the United States at a young age. He married his love, Consuelo Ramirez in Chicago. He worked many years for Nu-Way Industries Manufacturing and since retiring, he has enjoyed his free time with his Bible studies, weight lifting, and dancing with his grandchildren.
Refugio is survived by his wife Consuelo; his children, Janet, Victor, Daniel, Ana Luisa Efstathiou, Refugio Jr., Maribel, Andres, and Anthony Calvillo; his grandchildren, Julieta, Daniel Jr., Helena S., Madison, and Emilio Andres Calvillo, Jonathan Jr. and Aayden Efstathiou, and Ariana and Ruby C. Arroyo; brothers, Raul, Trinidad, Rigoberto, Arturo, Jesus, Jorge, Guilermo and Manuel Calvillo; and sisters, Mariola Lopez, Camorina Esparza, and Liduvina, Elodia and Carmen Calvillo.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Socorro Calvillo.
Visitation for Refugio Calvillo will be Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 3-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington) Rd., Joliet.
