Obituary of Mark E. Wrobel

Mark E. Wrobel, age 67, of New Lenox, IL, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL. He was born December 8, 1956, in Joliet, IL, the son of the late Beverly (nee Kehlet) and Edward Wrobel.

Mark grew up in Joliet and graduated from Joliet East High School. He worked for Advance Tank & Construction, retiring in 2021. You could often find him watching the Chicago White Sox, woodworking, or involved in a home improvement project. One of his favorite hobbies was fishing, as he enjoyed fishing for Walleye on his yearly trip to Canada with friends. He especially loved his time at his lake home in Southern Illinois, where he spent a lot of time since his retirement.

Survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Janice E. (nee Adkins) Wrobel; his loving children, Kelly (Steve) Zack and Andrew Wrobel; adoring grandchildren, Madelyn Zack, Charlotte Zack, Alex Zack, Andie Rae Wrobel, and Lacey Figliola; his brother, Edward (Terri) Wrobel; and sisters, Karen (John) Regan and Christine Wrobel; niece, nephews, and dear friends also survive.

A Memorial Gathering for Mark E. Wrobel will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington) Rd., Joliet.
