Jeffery G. Pearson

Jeffery G. Pearson, age 72, of Monticello, IN, passed away peacefully, Friday evening, December 29, 2023 at his home. He was born on August 4, 1951 in Joliet where he was also raised. Jeff was a graduate of Joliet Central High School with the class of 1969, during which time he played football all four years, was a part of the wrestling and baseball teams for two years, and he participated in the boy’s glee club for a year.

In 1978, Jeff relocated to New Lenox where he married his wife, Janice (nee Vincent) and they raised their two children.

Jeff, ever loyal, worked for Illinois Bell his entire career, even as the company conveyed to Ameritech, AT&T etc. Upon retirement, he moved to Monticello, Indiana.

Jeff is survived by his son, John (Wansita) Pearson of San Antonio, TX, daughter, Donna (Orlando Landery) Pearson of Plainfield Illinois; six grandchildren, Preecha, Jakrii, Sarita, Jettrin, DJ, and Mya; sisters, Donna (Dick) Collins of Shorewood, Illinois and Willamena Jaeger of Joliet, Illinois; brother, Brad (Kristine - deceased) Pearson of Chesterfield, Missouri. Jeff will also be deeply missed by his devoted partner, Linda Adams of Monticello, Indiana as well as many nieces and nephews.

 Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice E. Pearson; parents, F. Richard Pearson and Marie E. Pearson, as well as his brother, Randall Pearson.

Jeff was a proud member of IBEW local 21. He also enjoyed coaching baseball for the New Lenox Little League.

A visitation for Jeff Pearson will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday January 5, 2024 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet, IL.

As it was Jeff's wish, cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation.
