Obituary of Arthur Horschler

Horschler, Arthur J. Age 88. Passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Joliet, he was a lifelong area resident. He was an engineer, retiring from International Harvester/Navistar. He enjoyed playing the guitar, gardening and woodworking. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertha (nee Feltz) Horschler; granddaughter, Lisa Anne Gleason and his siblings, Agnus Horschler, Elenore Kness, Edna Gale, Clarence Horschler, Milton Horschler, Gladys Martin and John Horschler. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marjorie (nee Eldridge) Horschler of Joliet; two daughters, Susan (Mike) Prindiville of Dunedin, FL and Linda Gleason of Joliet; four sons, James (Vallerie) Horschler of Utica, IL, David (Valerie) Horschler of San Diego, CA, Daniel (Betty) Horschler of Shorewood and Steven (Linda) Horschler of Belleville, IL; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ethel Peterson and Ruth Ross. Funeral Services for Arthur J. Horschler will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Friday, 3-7 p.m. at: FRED C.
