Obituary of Anthony "Tony" Michael Johnson

Anthony “Tony” Michael Johnson

Age 38, of Joliet, IL, passed from this life suddenly, Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was born on March 15, 1985 to Ronelle (Warren) and Robert Lee Johnson, Jr., in Joliet where he was raised and educated.

A concrete finisher by trade, he worked with his father at RL Johnson and Sons for many years, starting as a teen. He was a very skilled worker and loved working with his hands. A creative soul, Tony enjoyed drawing as well as reading, listening to music and attending live music events. Tony’s greatest loves were his children. Spending time with them fishing or going to the beach was where Tony was happiest.

Tony is the loving father of Blake, Lorelai and Wesley; beloved son of Rob and Roni; dear brother of Robert III, Angela, Erica (Eric) Boyd, Daniel and William Johnson; fond grandson of Larry and Nancy Wilson; Diane and Len Zapadinsky; Robert L. Johnson, Sr. and Ronald Warren; cherished friend of Mindi Gordon, the mother of Blake and Lorelai; and Carla Cerrone, the mother of Wesley. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
