Obituary of Brad John Gunier
Age 70, at rest on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at his home in Joliet, with his beloved wife by his side. Brad was born in Sandwich, IL on June 4, 1953 to the late Robert and Darlene Gunier. He retired as the Chief Engineer for the Illinois Department of Corrections after 25 years of dedicated service.
Brad was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He was also an avid sports fan. Most of all, he loved sharing these interests with his boys. Brad was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Brenda; his two sons, Derek (Lisa) and Dave (Taylor); grandsons, Ike, Grant and Beau; and his sister, Brenda Walker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Darlene; his brother, Brent; and sister, Darla.
The Gunier family would like to thank their many family and friends, Lightways Hospice, and JD Browns for all their love and support.
As it was Brad’s wish, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services.
