Obituary of Pamela S. Troutt
Pamela “Pam” Sue Troutt, 63, passed away on April 4, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Pam was born in Joliet on August 16, 1960, to the late Richard and Donna (née Johnson) Mau. She spent her early years in Joliet and attended A.O. Marshall Elementary School before moving to Plainfield in 1972 and attending Indian Trail Middle School. After graduating from Plainfield High School in 1978, Pam began working full-time for Kemlite in Joliet. During her career, Pam also spent years working for Jewel-Osco in Plainfield and most recently celebrated 20 years working for United States Cold Storage as a Transportation Clerk in Minooka and Wilmington.
Pam is survived by her loving husband Steven Troutt. Married in 1994, they were excited to celebrate 30 years together this June.
Pam was sister to Cindy (Fiore) Brandolino and Penny Senders, aunt to Cole Senders, and cousin to many. Pam’s greatest joy in life was being a mom to Dustin (Lindsey) Nicholson and she was immensely proud of everything he did. Her love for her grandchildren, Dylan and Myles, was immeasurable and she cherished being their Nana and watching them grow.
Throughout her life, Pam enjoyed the simple things: playing dominoes with her family, long motorcycle rides with her husband and friends, watching her grandchildren open presents, bragging about a good Purdue win, baking chocolate cakes and cinnamon rolls, and enjoying vodka martinis with her dad.
Pam’s contagious smile, laughter, and teasing nature will never be forgotten. Her family is finding peace in knowing that she’s reunited with her parents and no longer suffering from long-time health issues.
