Obituary of Timothy Richard Overmyer
Timothy Richard Overmyer
Timothy Richard Overmyer, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at St. Joseph Medical Center, with his mother and his sister holding his hands; surrounded by people who loved him. Tim was born in Phoenix, AZ, on March 29, 1994. He grew up in the Joliet area, attended Joliet West High School, he was proud to support the youth group CAN, and thoroughly loved to frighten and scare as many people as he could working and volunteering at Abyss Haunted House.
Growing up, Tim was always active and loved being outdoors. He had a gentle and loving nature when it came to animals and they equally adored him. When a good story was being told, Tim was the narrator every time. He found joy in making others laugh and was known for always joking around. He had a quick mind, a sarcastic wit and a wicked sense of humor. No one was a stranger to Tim and he was loved by many. But, for a stranger, he would go out of his way to help them, even at 3:00 a.m. and 100 miles away. His smile was infectious and brightened the lives of those he loved.
Tim is survived by his mother, Heather Faith Piske; one sister, Sarena Hawke; His 7 Spirit Brothers; Tim Hobbs, Dennis Rieckmann, Josh Coggins, Michael Ratajczak, Jermiah Lennox, Jeff Brown and Charles Uphouse. His grandmother, Alecia Pryer; aunt and uncle, Jessica and Matthew Kirshman; cousins, Clarissa Hominda and Matthew Kirshman
He is preceded by his grandfather, James D. Penny; and great-grandmother, Theodosia Hope Pryer.
