Obituary of Sean Michael Barrett
Sean Michael Barrett
Sean Michael Barrett, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at his home in Channahon. Sean was born in Elk Grove Village, IL, on October 4, 1988, the son of Jeffrey and Loretta (nee Savino) Barrett. He grew up in Addison and then moved to Channahon where he graduated from Minooka High School. He went on to graduate from Universal Technical Institute in Lisle, IL and then the Masters Program in Florida where he furthered his skills in his trade. He was currently working as a Master Mechanic with Zeigler BMW in Tinley Park.
Sean can be described as a shy, quiet guy, but once you got to know him, you would appreciate his great sense of humor. He grew up intrigued by how things worked, always taking things apart, then putting them back together, most of the time! Sean enjoyed working on and the thrill of riding his motorcycle. Above all else, Sean loved his daughters more than anything; they were his heart and soul.
Sean is survived by his wife of 8 years, Allison (nee Saint-Villiers) Barrett; two daughters, Eleanor and Adaline Barrett; his parents; brother, Jeff Jr. (Lindsey) Barrett; nephew, Broden Barrett; niece, Lila Barrett; maternal grandparents, John and Wyn Savino; and his in-laws, Paul and Paula Saint-Villiers. Sean is also survived by numerous brothers and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded by his paternal grandparents, Tom and Donna Barrett; and his cousin, Adam Harris.
Visitation for Sean Michael Barrett will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 12:00 noon until the time of Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. The family is requesting that all who attend wear casual clothing, preferably a black (or any color) Carhartt t-shirt, as Sean would not want everyone wearing formal attire!
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Jeffrey and Loretta Barrett for the future education of Eleanor and Adeline Barrett.
